At Power Steering Rack Direct Ltd, we stand behind the quality of our steering racks. This Warranty Policy explains what is covered, the duration of cover, how to make a claim, and your responsibilities.

1) Warranty duration

• New OEM racks: 12 months from delivery date.
• OE Refurbished racks: 3 months from delivery date.

2) What the warranty covers

Manufacturing defects and faults arising under normal use, including:

• Electrical/electronic failures of EPS motor/ECU (where supplied as part of the rack).
• Excessive internal play or noise due to manufacturing or rebuild defects.
• Seal failures on eligible hydraulic or electro-hydraulic units (where applicable).

3) Conditions of cover (must be met)

• Professional installation by a qualified technician/mechanic.
• Correct coding/programming & basic settings for EPS systems (steering angle calibration included).
• Post-installation wheel alignment on the vehicle.
• Correct fluids used where applicable (manufacturer-specified).
• No modification or tampering of parts, wiring, or software.
• Reasonable care and proper maintenance of the steering/suspension system.

4) What is not covered

• Damage from incorrect installation, coding, or failure to perform alignment.
• Impact/accident damage, water ingress, corrosion, or contamination.
• Wear-and-tear items (e.g., track rod ends/boots unless expressly included and warranted).
• Vehicle faults outside the rack (e.g., bent subframe, suspension issues, electrical supply faults).
• Use in motorsport/competition or non-standard tuning/retrofits.
• Costs of diagnostics, removal/reinstallation, alignment, fluids, or third-party labour.

5) How to make a warranty claim

1. Email [email protected] or call (+44) 07456 373490 with your order number and VIN/vehicle details.
2. Provide a description of the issue, photos/video where helpful, and any fault codes.
3. We may request diagnostic notes, installation invoice, alignment printout, and coding screenshots.
4. On approval, we will arrange repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.

6) Remedies

At our discretion we will: (a) repair the product; (b) replace it with the same or equivalent specification; or (c) refund the purchase price. Replacement may be new OEM or OE Refurbished of equivalent performance where appropriate.

7) Old Part Exchange (where applicable)

If your purchase includes an Old Part Exchange, please return the agreed core unit complete and in rebuildable condition within the timeframe agreed. Deductions may apply for missing/damaged components or late returns.

8) Limitation of liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including loss of profit, business, or data) except where liability cannot be excluded under UK law. Nothing in this policy limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

9) Governing law

This Warranty Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
